Piano
Victor Ong



Victor Ong has performed extensively as a soloist and a chamber musician across multiple genres. He graduated with honors from the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music under the tutelage of Albert Tiu; and with Horaciu Gutierrez, he completed his Masters of Music Degree in Piano Performance in New York City. Victor is a prize winner of both Singapore and International Piano competitions such as:
- Golden Classical Award Competition
- Manhattan International Music Competition
- NAFA Chinese Music Concerto Competition
“Best Accompanist” Award - 2008 National Piano Ensemble competition
“First and Best performance” Award
Victor has made solo appearances in Europe and debut at the Weil Hall of Carnegie in New York City. He also appeared as a soloist in the Asian Cultural Symphony Orchestra’s Inaugural Concert in 2016.



Violin
Zhao Tian



Mr Zhao Tian has collaborated with many world-class musicians such as Glenn Dicterow, Gil Shaham, Pichas Zukerman, Lucie Robert, David Takino. In 2014, he performed as the first Chinese member of the Seji Ozawa Chamber Orchestra in Japan. Alongside violin performances, Zhao Tian is also a passionate teacher. He teaches at Orchkids Program in Baltimore as well as the Brooklyn Music Studio in New York City.
Mr Zhao Tian joined the Singapore Symphony Orchestra in November 2018. Previously, he was a member of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (Maryland, USA) for two years. He recently performed “Scottish Fantasy” by Max Bruch with the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Orchestra in Malaysia.
In 2015, he led the Manhattan School of Music Opera Orchestra under the Baton of Grammy-nominated conductor George Manahan at a recording and also a New York Premiere performance of “Dangerous Liaisons” by Conrad Susa. In 2018, he toured with Baltimore Symphony Orchestra to the UK for a concert at Proms.
For the 2021 season, he will perform as a soloist with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra for Bach Brandenburg Concerto No. 4.



Vocals
Kira Lim



Kira Lim is a classically trained soprano, currently pursuing her honours degree in Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music in Singapore under the tutelage of Professor Alan Bennett. Kira has attained a distinction in the Trinity Advanced Performance Certificate under the tutelage of Khor Ai Ming. In 2019, she graduated from Lasalle College of the Arts with a Diploma in Performance.
Kira has performed in many prestigious venues as a soloist and ensemble including Esplanade Concert Hall, Walt Disney Hall and Carnegie Hall. Kira has participated in some notable performances including:

Erhu
Chew Jun Ru



Chew Jun Ru is an award-winning Singaporean Erhu player who made history by becoming the first Chinese instrumentalist to graduate with a bachelor’s degree from the prestigious Royal College of Music, London in the college’s 130-year history. During the same year, Jun Ru was nominated by Prestige Magazine as Singapore’s Top 40 Under 40 alongside famous singer JJ Lin and Olympic gold medalist Joseph Schooling. He was also the first Erhu musician to be featured in the world-renowned strings magazine “The Strad”.
After becoming the first Singaporean to receive the Chinese Government Scholarship, Jun Ru pursued his post-graduate studies in the China Conservatory of Music, Beijing. He returned to Singapore with a keen passion for music education, he has committed himself to contributing to the Chinese music scene in Singapore.



Guzheng
Wang Kena



Wang Kena is an award-winning Guzheng performer who has performed extensively around the world. Upon the completion of her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance under the joint degree programme between NAFA and the prestigious Royal College of Music, London in year 2015. Kena have continued to contribute to the local arts scene by making Singapore her long-term home.
During her studies, she have clinched top awards in major competitions such as the First Prize at the NAFA Music Essentials Concerto Competition and the First Prize in Singapore National Chinese Music Competition Guzheng Open Category. Kena have devoted her career towards music education, inspiring young aspiring musicians through individual coaching and ensemble training. Under her guidance, students from Fernvale Primary School’s Guzheng ensemble managed to clinch the Gold Award at Singapore Youth Festival Guzheng Ensemble Competition.



Yangqin
Sow Yoke Yee



Yoke Yee is a devoted instructor with cross-cultural and cross-disciplinary backgrounds in multiple musical instruments like Yangqin, Percussion and Piano. Her diverse background not only made her a versatile performer, but also allowed her to explore innovative pedagogies in her teaching career. Yoke Yee have gained valuable teaching experience through the years as a private music tutor and as an instructor in various MOE schools.
In year 2018, Yoke Yee graduated with a Diploma in Music from NAFA. Her passion in music have driven her to further her studies in Singapore Raffles Music College, and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance with honors under a joint degree programme between SRMC and London College of Music in year 2021. Upon the completion of her studies, Yoke Yee have devoted her career to music education, and continued to inspire aspiring musicians in the country.



Dance
Max ko



Highly versatile in many dance forms, Max is trained in Classical Ballet, Tap, Modern jazz, Lyrical, Hip hop/Street and Contemporary genres. He studied ballet under the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and also completed numerous Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing (CSTD) examinations, culminating in attaining his CSTD Teacher’s Certificate. A strong performer, Max has also achieved awards at an elite level in many dance competitions throughout Singapore, the Asian region and Australia.
Max has years of teaching experience under his belt, having coached soloists from as young as age 8, and who have gone on to clinch multiple awards in various genres at competitions like Get The Beat and CSTD ComDance Competitions.
Max has a deep passion for the stage and is currently pursuing a BA (Hons) in Musical Theatre at Lasalle College of the Arts accredited by Goldsmiths University of London.



Drama
Claire Teo



Claire Teo is the first visually impaired person to have graduated from a professional theatre course in Singapore, (LASALLE College of the Arts’ Diploma in Performance) and currently seeks further skills development under Beyond Dis:play: A theatre training and artist in residency programme supported by Very Special Arts Singapore. Claire is closely mentored by Artist-Educator, Peter Sau in her artistic endeavours.
In 2008, she received a Distinction in the Trinity Guild Hall: Initial Text Examinations and a Grade 3 in Classical Ballet. In 2020, she was chosen to be part of the Philip Yeo Initiatives Associates Programmes for her vision to create inclusive and accessible spaces for learning and art making.
In the 2 years since she graduated, she has made ripples in the arts scene-writing and directing several children and youth web series and assembly school shows, developing and teaching speech and drama curriculums for 4 years and above, and performed in notable events including National Gallery’s Light to Night Festival 2020, National Writers Festival 2020, National Heritage Festival 2021, Connections: A British Council Showcase 2021 and was a panelist in the International Arts and Disability Forum 2020. She was also recently covered in TODAY’s Gen Y Speaks and Vogue Singapore.
